30" (76 cm.) Wax-over-paper-mache shoulder head,blonde sculpted hair waved away from face
into generous pouf curls,blue glass inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted features,closed
mouth,elongated muslin body,wooden lower arms and legs,painted black ankle boots with
yellow buttons. Condition: generally excellent,small wax line at left eye. Comments:
Germany,circa 1870,the doll has a curious inscription on its front breastplate. Value Points:
wonderful all-original doll with historically-interesting inscription,wearing original muslin gown
with blue silk ribbons,undergarments.
