21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender facial shape, well-defined jaw and cheek lines, painted brown eyes with dark outline, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with full lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, one piece break and reglue low on neck socket (hidden inside torso) Marks: K*R 107 54. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt from their art character reform series, circa 1910, the doll was modeled under commission from the Berlin artist, Arthur Lewin-Funcke, based upon his original bronze sculpture "Portrait of a Boy" and marketed by K*R as "Karl". Value Points: finest modeling and artistic painting of the very rare model, especially in this size, original body and body finish, antique costume including caped jacket, umbrella and valise.
