6 1/2" (17 cm.) the colorfully-lithographed penguin has hinged spectacles,hinged neck,jaw and wings. When wound,he bobs his head up down,opens and closes his beak,and flaps his wings an an amusing manner. Excellent condition,lithographed well-preserved,mechanism functions well. Germany,the Bavarian company was created by George Adam Mangold (hence the acronym GAMA as the company name) in 1882,and during the late-19th century created wonderful lithographed tin mechanical toys such as this example.
