21" (53 cm.) All-cloth doll with socket head, pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaded blue eyes with pronounced white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pouting expression, brunette side-parted human hair in short bob, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent, some darkening of feet. Marks: Kathe Kruse 2085 (foot) (original KK paper tag at wrist). Comments: Germany, Type VIII, the model known as "Deutsches Kind", circa 1935. Value Points: charming little girl is wonderfully-preserved with beautiful complexion wearing original print dress, matching slip and panties, tan linen coat with pockets, red tam, shoes and socks, original wrist tag.
