21" (53 cm.) Paper-mache shoulder head with fine creamy complexion,black sculpted short curly
hair waved behind her ears,stippled detail of hair around the forehead,outlined pale blue
downcast eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,feathered brows,closed mouth with very full
lips,muslin stitch-jointed body,leather arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (partial paper
label on back shoulderplate). Comments: circa 1875,probably German for the American
market,based on English label. Value Points: very pretty deeply-sculpted features with large eyes
and lips.
