Description
18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, side-head seams, sculpted ears partially covered by painted hair in simple bobbed style, large brown eyes, lushly painted lashes and brows, upturned nose, closed mouth, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, bare feet, wearing checkered romper suit. Condition: very good, original finish well preserved with some typical craquelure. Marks: (partial Smith stamp). Comments: Ella Smith, circa 1920, one of the final models issued by the company. Value Points: very endearing expression on the impish toddler child with rarer brown eyes and bare feet.
