15" (38 cm.) x 14" box. 3 1/2"l. blocks. A large box decorated with scenes of children playing in
the meadows and a little girl reading an ABC book opens to a complete set of 20 hollow blocks
with internal rattles,each covered on all six sides with colorful lithographed scenes of
animals,birds,and amusing people,along with numbers and alphabet letters. Excellent condition.
Late-19th-century,printed in Germany for the English-speaking market.
