12" (30 cm.) Poured wax head tilted upward in a haughty manner, side-glancing dark outlined eyes, brunette mohair wig under fitted metallic-formed turban with large centering rhinestone and feathered details, very slender elongated body with padded armature to allow stylish pose, posed on velvet-covered base. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, Medames Lafitte-Desirat, circa 1912, from a series of dolls illustrating contemporary fashion of the early 20th century. Value Points: the haughty lady is wearing a superb dark sheer gauze dress with metallic and beaded accents to match her headdress, and with matching purse and parasol.
