A light-wood box with decorative paper covers and center medallion labeled "Fabrique Francaise CBG Paris Service de Table" and store label "Au Paradis des Enfants,Paris",hinges open to an elaborately-fitted interior on multi tiered arrangement,featuring a white porcelain dinner service with colorful floral transfers and gilt edging. The service comprises six plates,round platter,four shallow bowls,one oval platter,two footed compotes,fruit bowl,four shallow bowls,two relish dishes,three lidded tureens,along with four glass goblets,gold cutlery for four,three knife rests,three salt dishes,six napkins,menu cards. Excellent condition. French,Cuperly,Blondel and Gerbeau,Paris,circa 1890,the set was sold by the luxury toy store,Au Paradis des Enfants.
