Description
11" (28 cm.) Waist-up porcelain half-doll depicting Pierrette with black painted skull-cap and three brown spit curls at forehead and in front of ears, grey eyeshadow blue upper glancing eyes, arms extended from body, bent at elbows and holding a mandolin, attached to original wire frame which is covered with Art Deco style costume and trim. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1920, fine details include raised sculpting of spit curls, beautifully-modeled fingers and fine painting of details of mandolin.
