6" (15 cm.) Each has composition head with sculpted cap,sculpted hair,painted facial features
with wide-eyed googly expression,broadly-grinning smile,metal ball-bearing body,composition
hands and feet,and each is wearing its original costume including padded flannel leggings.
Condition: generally excellent,touch-up or rub on two noses. Marks: (Bucherer incised marking
on torso). Comments: Bucherer,circa 1925,from their series of Saba dolls,the trio represent
popular comic strip or film characters of the time with notably distinctive expressions and
features. Value Points: very rare Saba models,with uniquely-painted hats,and each wearing its
original costume.
