8" (20 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead of man with sculpted hair, moustache and goatee, painted brows, eyes, firmly-stuffed body with carved wooden hands, on original wooden base. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1840. Value Points: very rare peddler doll, depicted as Moroccan peddler man, in original costume including tasseled turban, and carrying cardboard tray of wares including books, jewelry, fans, hair ornaments, and more, is in outstanding state of original presentation.
