Polychromed terra cotta head turned to the side, sculpted bald crown, bald back of hair with tinted stubble, deeply-sculpted comb-marked tufts at sides of face, incised age lines, thick furrowed brows, enamel eyes, mouth modeled closed, row of painted teeth, tinted beard stubble, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted green stockings, black shoes with red flaps, wearing silk vest, lined silk ivory jacket with metallic fringe, gold buttons, green silk pants, and holding bone pipe. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
