Light brown muslin cloth doll with white button eyes, red diamond outlined nose, painted white lips in wide beaming smile, red cotton bandanna, brown muslin body with red and white stitched-on stockings and red cotton stitched-on shoes, wearing original costume of red cotton blouse with four yellow buttons, patterned yellow cotton skirt, apron, cutwork ruffled collar and cuffs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Georgene Novelties Beloved Belindy ...(stamp on back torso). Comments: the storybook figure from Raggedy Ann stories is depicted by Georgene Novelties, circa 1935. Value Points: rare character doll in well preserved state with maker's mark. Included are four Raggedy Ann story books by Johnny Gruelle, Bobbs-Merrill Publisher including The Nice Fat Policeman (1947), Raggedy Ann and the Hobby Horse (1961), Raggedy Ann and The Happy Moon (1960) and Raggedy Andy Stories (1960).
