12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, very ruddy complexion, grey sculpted hair drawn smoothly away from face and formed into short curls around the sides and back, furrowed thick grey brows, enamel eyes, mouth modeled open with teeth and tongue, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden open arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black shoes, silk aristocratic costume of gentleman. Very good condition, some overall dustiness. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
