Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral threaded eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, smiling expression, kid gusset-jointed body with square-cut kid collarette. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed model with enigmatic smiling expression, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, wearing white pique fitted gown with white fur wrap trimmed with fox head and blue tassels, undergarments, boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru who registered the model in 1872; scholars dispute the inspiration for the model ranging from Empress Eugenie to a noted Parisian architectural carving of an angel.
