Description
9" (23 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket which accommodates to original body dowel, large blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth, impressed dimples at lip corners, blonde mohair wig, early paper mache body peg-jointed at shoulders and hips, painted knee-high blue stockings and four lace black heels with cream pom-poms, lovely silk costume, undergarments, woven bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Sonneberg, mystery maker, circa 1880. Value Points: most charming expression on the wide-eyed, closed mouth doll, on rare original body.
