Description
11" (28 cm.) x 9". Presented in theatre-like arrangement on wooden platform with lithographed paper cover and hand-painted background of a country village, is a two-story house and windmill, with winding path upon which are arranged a hand-carved village woman, sheep and a spotted dog. When wound, music plays, sheep move along a ramp, and the windmill turns. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: hard-to-find variation from their mechanical toy line with fine colorful detail. Private Collection of Marianne Cieslik.
