Description
9" (23 cm.) doll. 12" with garland raised. Bisque shoulderhead, blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, wooden block torso, loosely jointed wire upper arms and legs, wooden lower arms and legs with painted shoes, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1890, the doll swings freely from the original garland she holds. Value Points: delightful and all-original German plaything with unusual shaping of legs and hands. Private Collection of Marianne Cieslik.
