15" (38 cm.) Pressed felt swivel head with center seam, black bead eyes, painted facial features, painted brown moustache, pointy nose, brown hair, stitched ears, jointed arms and legs with large hands and feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Steiff (button in ear, and white cloth label 35). Comments: Steiff, circa 1910. Value Points: perfectly preserved, the soldier is wearing original grey felt uniform with red trim and gold buttons, black leather helmet with gold spread eagle insignia, brown boots, and carries wooden ammunition packs, sabre in holster, double-layered felt backpack with leather straps, water bottle, and shoulder bag.
