Description
6" (15 cm.) Each is all carved wood, one-piece head and shaped torso, elongated throat, black painted hair with details of curls around the face and carved yellow "tuck comb", tiny painted facial features, dowel-jointed wooden arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent, some frailty to silk of purple skirt. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1850. Value Points: with original finish, the miniature articulated wooden dolls are wearing their original multi-layered costumes. Private Collection of Marianne Cieslik.
