German Bisque Character with Blue Hair Bows by Goebel

9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted short tousled blonde curls held by a pair of blue bows at each side of head, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with dimpled smile, two beaded upper teeth, composition five-piece flapper body, painted stockings and shoes, original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A 3 (and Goebel crown mark). Comments: from a series of character children issued by the firm, circa 1920. Value Points: rarely found doll with original body and costume that is matching to #60; few examples are found.
