8" (20 cm.) Two-part paper mache head with painted outlined brown eyes, very wide curly tip moustache, wide smile with painted teeth, brown goatee, brown painted hair, jointing at shoulders and hips, painted black shoes. Excellent condition. American, Schoenhut, 1906. Earliest period Ringmaster from the Humpty Dumpty Circus and made for one year only, wearing wonderfully-preserved original wooden top hat with gold band, yellow vest with black felt jacket, and including boutonniere, bow tie and baton.
