Two-part paper mache head with painted outlined brown eyes, wide curly-tip moustache, wide smile with painted teeth, outlined lips, brown goatee, dark brown painted hair, unusual red accent lines on ears, jointing at shoulders and hips, painted black shoes. Excellent condition, few moth holes on back of jacket. American, Schoenhut, 1908. Ringmaster from the Humpty Dumpty Circus, wearing original costume comprising wooden top hat with gold band, yellow vest with red felt jacket, and including bow tie and baton, wonderful facial expression with wide beaming smile.
