5" (13 cm.) A gilded ormolu bird cage with ebonized wooden base and ball feet, has a miniature bird on a perch, and another bird posed nearby; the cage floor has an inlay mosaic floral border which centers a porcelain watch face with glass bevel. The cage is marked Made in Germany and DRGM on the underside which also has attached key and adjustment knobs. Excellent condition structurally, needs adjustment. Germany, early 20th century. Ex-Stein-am-Rhein Museum.
