Description
6" (15 cm.) Bisque socket head of green googly-eyed cat with well-defined character-like features, closed mouth in wide smile, wooden block torso and jointed legs, bisque forearms, wearing black velvet costume and tall black boots on over-sized feet, representing Puss in Boots, with 4 1/2" all-bisque cat with swivel head, jointing at all four paws, well defined tail and red collar. Condition: Puss in boots excellent, cat has little chip at red collar. Marks" KL 13/0 (Puss in Boots). Comments: Germany, cat toys and dolls were a popular trend in the early 1900s, this Puss in Boots example by unknown maker, the articulated cat by Hertwig.
