Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, dark blue glass sleep eyes which open and close by wire lever at back of head, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 0 (incised) Steiner SGDG Bourgoin (red ink lettered). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: gentle-faced child with very beautiful softly blushed complexion, original signed Steiner eyes, original body and body finish.
