8" (20 cm.) Carved wooden one-part head, ebony black complexion, black outlined eyes, accented nostrils, wide beaming smile with row of teeth, black textured hair, wooden tall hat with white cover and yellow band, jointing at shoulders and hips, blue legs, large brown shoes. Excellent condition. American, the so-called Black Dude from Schoenhut Humpty Dumpty set, the model also appeared in the firm's Safari set as African Chief, circa 1908, and is wearing flowered shirt, yellow felt vest, checkered pants, and carries yellow cane.
