Description
8" (20 cm.) Egg-shaped bisque candy jar with unusual tree branch legs has removable lid with amusing figural bisque vignette depicting a smiling black-complexioned child clasping a struggling-to-escape pig in his arms. Excellent condition. Germany, Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910, the facial model of the boy was also used by the Heubach firm as a doll head, an example of their multi-use of different sculptural designs.
