Description
7" (18 cm.) The heavy solid plaster bust depicting an infant child with closed sleeping eyes was presented in the early 1900s as part of a Renaissance revival of Italian sculpture, this created from the original work of Desiderio da Settignano of Florence, Italy (1428-1464) and was the inspiration for the Traumerchen sleeping baby designed by Kathe Kruse in the early 1900s. Excellent condition.
