Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) doll. Bisque shoulderhead with solid dome, painted facial features, muslin body, bisque lower limbs, and with long blonde braided wig and wearing elaborately detailed original costume with pearl-draped coronet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rare and all-original wigged miniature doll, with two miniature theatres, one of gilded pressed tin with Punch and Judy movable puppets, labeled W. Avery & Son Redditch (original created as needle case), and the other of leather with three movable subjects on wooden handles.
