Description
8" (20 cm.) Amber-complexioned two-part head, elongated thin neck, painted black pate with long queue, side-slanted eyes, angled brows, closed mouth, painted teeth, jointing at shoulders and hips, black shoes. Excellent condition. American, Chinese Acrobat from Humpty Dumpty Circus of Schoenhut, earliest period model, 1908, with original costume and with original prop of balancing bowl, and extra balancing stool. Considered the rarest of the circus performer figures. Private Collection of Keith Kaonis.
