Description
12" (30 cm.) Light brown mohair teddy with swivel head, brown embroidered nose, black shoe-button eyes, stitched-apart ears, elongated jointed arms, hip disc-jointed legs, felt paw pads, and with internal mechanism which is "wound" by arm turning, allowing the bear to tumble in a playful somersault manner. With original early metal Steiff button in ear. Excellent condition. Germany, Steiff, the bear was introduced in 1909 and was one of their most prized early creations.
