16" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, dark upper eyeliner, one-stroke short brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined glazed lips, brunette mohair wig with side-coiled braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 101 43 (head) Heinrich Handwerck Germany (body). Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, "Marie" from the firm's art character series. Value Points: beautiful bisque and painting, original wig, body, body finish, rare glass sleep eyes variation, and wearing wonderful original costume. Private Collection of Antje Lode.
