22" (56 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, almond-shaped blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading and darker blue rims, thick dark eyeliner, mauve eye shadow, richly painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with tiny tongue tip between the outlined lips, pronounced impressed dimple at chin and lip corners, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original kid bebe body with Chevrot hinged hips, jointed knees, wooden lower legs, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent, body is original although the torso is re-seamed to achieve a tiny lady-shaped waist. Marks: Bru Jne 8 (head and shoulderplate) (original Bru label on chest). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884.
