7" (18 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead, black sculpted short hair, painted facial features, wooden arms and legs with peg-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted black boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved, the peddler doll is wearing original village costume and is balancing two trays on her shoulders carrying herbs she is bringing to market.
