Description
7 1/2" (19 cm.) h. 8 1/2" w. The three-drawer wooden chest of drawers with meticulous dove-tailed construction, ogee-shaped detail of top edge, is of finest walnut with elaborate marquetry borders on the drawers, with cast brass locks and bracket handles, with key. The drawers are marbled-paper lined. The name "Raoul Fengg" is stamped on the bottom side of middle drawer. Excellent condition. Continental, early 1800s, the outstanding construction details indicate origin as maitrise model.
