Description
13" (33 cm.) All wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, egg-shaped head, painted black hair and simplistically-painted facial features, blush spots on cheeks, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, late 1800s. Value Points: the doll is wearing wonderful original costume of golden taffeta gown trimmed with tulle and red silk ribbons, two linen petticoats, and elaborate woven bonnet.
