18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S&H C.T. 7. Comments: Simon and Halbig for Gestav Schmey, Successors of Sonneberg, circa 1910, the intriguing story of the firm is told in German Doll Studies by Cieslik, page 158/159.
