12" (30 cm.) Poured wax head with slender face turned to the side, painted facial features, brunette mohair wig, very slender elongated body with padded armature allowing stylish pose, painted shoes, posed on original velvet-covered stand. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lafitte-Desirat 1911 (ink inscription on velvet base). Comments: Circa 1911, Mesdames Lafitte and Desirat designed a series of dolls to illustrate contemporary fashion of the early 20th century. Value Points: fine state of preservation of the elegant silk fashionable costume with original feathered cloche hat and purse. Private Collection of Marisol Valverde.
