Description
7" (18 cm.) Each is a white mohair goose with blue eyes, stitched-on wings, yellow felt wrapped spiral-spring legs which allow the goose to stand tall or short, attached yellow felt pads, long yellow felt beak, stitched-on green jacket with double buttons, white felt, green felt tall hat. Condition: some wear to mohair, some costume fading and few moth holes, one hat is not original. Marks: Der Fesche Jean (original paper label, marked Michu on reverse). Comments: Fleischmann & Blodel, the series of geese were presented in 1914. Value Points: very rare characters with amusing leg construction. Private Collection of Marianne Cieslik, the pair were used by the Ciesliks as mascot figures for their magazine Teddybar und seine Freunde (Teddy Bear and Friends).
