12" (30 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead, black sculpted hair drawn into elaborate pouf curls at sides of head and up-swept topknots with braided edge, painted brown eyes, painted facial features, closed mouth, slender kid body, wooden lower arms and legs. Condition: some fading and rubs on original painted finish. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rarity factors include elaborate coiffure and brown eyes, original costume.
