8" (20 cm.) Resting in a woven carriage with wooden spoked wheels and lace-edged quilted bedding is a paper mache child with metal spiral torso and paper mache arms and legs, bare feet, brown glass eyes, closed mouth, blonde fleecy hair, and wearing antique costume with rose silk ribbons. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850, when pulled along the wheels turn and the baby waves its arms and legs in a playful manner. Value Points: delightful early toy is well-preserved with well-functioning movements and original costume.
