Description
Each is all-bisque figure of seated Kewpie in amusing pose, each with sculpted topknot, side-glancing eyes, blue wings, impish smile, including 4" Kewpie seated with bisque book on lap; 3"h. Kewpie with pen seated on porcelain tray designed as an envelope and lettered "With Kewpish Love from Rose O'Neill", with original canceled US postage stamp; 3" Kewpie with bee crawling on upturned toe; and 2" seated Kewpie with open book and stack of books behind. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c (in circle, on each). Comments: Germany, circa 1915, from original Rose O'Neill designs. Value Points: seldom found, the little imps are delightfully posed.
