Description
11" (28 cm.) and 13". Each has modeled hard composition face over felt head with highly characterized and painted features, black human hair, felt body with jointing at shoulders and hips, over-sized feet. Condition: very good, some costume fading. Comments: Fleischmann & Blodel, 1913, the soldiers were created from the series "Die Burgerwehr", celebrating the 100th anniversary of the triumph over Napoleon. Value Points: the soldiers are wearing original felt uniforms with accessories; included is 1914 booklet (German language) describing the series. Private Collection of Marianne Cieslik.
