13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head, sculpted brown hair peeking from beneath a large sculpted helmet with textured finish to simulate fur and decorated with a gold medallion and trim, sculpted blue side-glancing eyes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips, Sonneberg composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 78 (? tiny incised numbers). Comments: Germany, mystery maker, circa 1912. Value Points: rare character with distinctive facial modeling and very rare sculpted helmet.
