17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with richly accented lips, brown mohair wig over cork pate, pierced ears, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, wearing antique red woolen dress with velvet ribbon banding, white blouse, undergarments, red cloth shoes, stockings, red silk bonnet with flowers. Condition: generally excellent, body not original but of the same era and appropriate. Marks: E 7 D. (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Etienne Denamur, circa 1888. Value Points: pretty wide-eyed bebe, original body finish, antique wig, wonderful costume.
