Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of lady with oval slender face and elongated throat, blonde sculpted hair waved from face and captured in a green snood with lustre plume and tassel, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower limbs, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, restoration on left foot. Comments: Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1870. Value Points: beautiful painting of bright eyes and rare coiffure and snood.
