Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape and chubby cheeks, very large round brown glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, thick dark eyeliner, short feathered brows, tiny pug nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with little watermelon-slice-shaped smile, impressed dimples at lip corners, rosy cheeks, double chin, brunette bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed chubby toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 131 Germany. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1918. Value Points: wonderful impish, yet shy, expression on the wide-eyed googly with choice bisque and painting, original toddler body and body finish. Private Collection of Antje Lode.
