13" (33 cm.) h. 13"w. shoulderplate. Paper mache shoulderhead of woman with downcast oval-shaped face, very heavily-lidded brown eyes, brown upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with slightly upturned lip corners in enigmatic smile, pressed dimple in chin, brunette ringlet curled wig, with original fitted cap with metallic embroidery and silk ribbon trim. Condition: generally excellent, wig sparse at back of head. Comments: early 18th century. Value Points: exceptional beauty of the demurely-posed woman, with original finish and hair.
